Prep the existing slab
The existing slab is assessed for hardness and flatness, ground to the system's prep profile, cracks repaired, and self-leveled where the slab needs flatness correction before the polish or coating starts.
Install polished or coated
For polished concrete, progressive diamond grits grind, hone and polish to the chosen gloss with densifier applied; for coated systems, primer and body and topcoat go down with the chosen color and finish.
Hand off cleaning protocol
The maintenance plan (daily dust mop or auto-scrub, periodic deep clean, re-densify or re-seal schedule) is documented and handed off so the cleaning crew knows how to care for the floor without damaging it.

The single biggest factor in how long a retail floor stays looking sharp is how the cleaning crew treats it. The wrong chemicals will dull polished concrete; the wrong scrub pad will scratch a coated floor; over-watering will eventually permeate either. Documented maintenance protocols are non-negotiable, and they should be in the cleaning contractor's hands from day one of the install.
