Industrial Epoxy & Urethane Concrete Floors Built for Portland Facilities

When a warehouse, manufacturing plant, or food processing facility needs a floor system engineered for the actual work happening on it, MasterTop delivers. We install the full BASF MasterTop range: standard epoxy for moderate traffic, high-build systems for heavy use, urethane cement for chemical and thermal extremes. Every installation follows BASF spec to earn the system warranty.

  • Full BASF MasterTop range
  • Spec-matched to facility use
  • System warranty on every install

System selection

Choosing the Right MasterTop Floor System

Not every facility floor needs the same coating. A distribution center with steady forklift traffic has different demands than a chemical processing plant or a frozen-food warehouse. MasterTop spans the range: epoxy toppings for light-to-moderate use, reinforced epoxy for heavy traffic, urethane cement for aggressive chemical or thermal exposure, and decorative systems for retail showrooms.

The selection process starts on-site. We evaluate traffic patterns, chemical exposure, temperature swings, slip requirements, and any aesthetic goals. From there, the matched MasterTop system is specified, and the slab prep is tailored to that system's requirements. This matching is what separates a floor that performs from one that fails early.

Our chemical-resistant flooring work often uses MasterTop urethane cement. For freezer floor applications, we coordinate thermal cycling specs. See our broader industrial concrete services for context on how MasterTop fits into the larger facility scope.

Installation sequence

How MasterTop Installation Unfolds in Portland

  1. Assess facility and select system

We walk the space, document traffic patterns, chemical exposure, temperature conditions, and any slip or aesthetic needs. The matched MasterTop system is selected from the BASF range and quoted in writing.

  2. Prepare slab to system spec

The concrete slab is diamond-ground to the profile required by the chosen MasterTop system, contaminants removed, cracks repaired with BASF-compatible materials, and the surface primed with the matched primer coat.

  3. Apply MasterTop layers

The system is applied in sequence: primer, body coat, aggregate broadcast where specified, and topcoat at engineered thickness. Each layer cures per BASF schedule before the next is applied.

  4. Document and hand off

Material batch records, application thickness logs, and cure documentation are compiled for BASF system warranty support. The floor is handed off with maintenance protocol and warranty paperwork in place.

Warranty value

Why BASF-Spec Installation Matters for Warranty

A product warranty covers the material. A system warranty covers the material plus the installation. MasterTop system warranty is only valid when installed by a BASF-certified installer following BASF spec on prep, primer, application thickness, and cure schedule. Cutting corners on any step voids the warranty. We follow the protocol because that is what makes the warranty real and protects your facility investment.

Coordinate with MasterSeal waterproofing if substrate moisture is a concern, and our warehouse flooring services for the full scope of your facility floor project.

MasterTop Questions Answered

System selection, facility matching, warranty coverage, and BASF spec compliance.

Based on the facility use: traffic load, chemical exposure, thermal cycling, slip rating, decorative requirements. We assess the actual conditions and recommend the matched system from the BASF range.
Yes, for severe environments (food processing, breweries, freezer floors, chemical-aggressive zones) MasterTop has urethane cement formulations. Standard epoxy MasterTop handles moderate environments.
Yes when installed to BASF spec by a BASF-system installer. System warranty extends beyond product to install integrity, which is the value over generic product warranty.
Yes, by zone-phased install. Each zone is offline during install and cure with operations routed around the work zone. Phasing is built around your operations from quote stage.
Per zone, typically a week including cure before service. Facility-wide projects stretch with phased install. Full schedule in the quote.
